EmpowerMat hosts inclusive martial arts tournaments and workshops across British Columbia and Alberta. Each event raises funds for youth scholarships, equipment grants, and community programs. Gyms that register more participants receive a higher percentage of event proceeds.
2026 Youth Martial Arts Tournament
EmpowerMat's 2026 Youth Martial Arts Tournament is scheduled for June 20, 2026. We are aiming to host at Tournament Capital Centre in Kamloops, British Columbia — the venue is to be confirmed. This event is open to youth martial artists of all disciplines from BC and Alberta.

- Open to: Youth ages 5–18 in all martial arts disciplines
- Proceeds: Allocated back to participating gyms and the EmpowerMat scholarship fund
How Event Fundraising Works
When gyms register participants for EmpowerMat events, a portion of the proceeds from registrations flows back to those gyms proportional to their participation. This model rewards community engagement and ensures funds stay within the martial arts community in BC and Alberta.
